KATHMANDU – EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK


DAY 01: KATHMANDU    

Morning arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport at Kathmandu. Meet your guide and will greet you with Khada at the airport escort you to the hotel 

(Check-in Time at 14:00 hrs).

Afternoon Heritage walking Tour, explore of typical local market called Ason Bazaar. This is very old market lying in the heart of the Kathmandu valley. The six different streets converge on Ason Bazaar make it the busiest junction in Kathmandu. There are many shops offering a variety of spices, Vegetables, Fruits, meat, color powders and many more. The major shrine of the bazaar is the Annapurna temple (Goddess of abundant food grain), Seto (White) Machhendranath Temple (God of rain), Ganesh Temple and Stupas. Then Rickshaw ride around local market. Dinner & Overnight.


DAY 02: KATHMANDU

Morning sightseeing of Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square. Afternoon Kirtipur village. It is a small village situated on a ridge 8 km southwest of Kathmandu. The ancient Newar township - with its brick-paved streets lined with typical red brick houses and tiled roofs, and temple squares - is a natural fortress. The Chilamchu Stupa and the temple of Bagh Bhairav are major attractions here.


DAY 03: KATHMANDU

Morning sightseeing of Boudhanath & Pashupatinath. Afternoon Patan Durbar Square & Golden Temple. Overnight.

               

DAY 04: KATHMANDU – MULKOT (200 KM– 8 hrs approx)

Morning sightseeing of Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Afternoon drive to Mulkot. Overnight.


DAY 05: MULKOT - RAMECHHAP – LUKLA (2804 M) - PHAKDING (2651 M – 4 hrs approx)

Early morning fly (30 min) to Lukla then trek to Phakding. Enjoying the view of landscape, villages, crossing a couple of streams, bridges, you will reach at Phakding. There is probability to get flight delay or cancel even in good season of October – November or March – April. If flight is on time, you will reach to Phakding on lunch time. In case of any delay you will stop for lunch in Lukla or after an hour walking from Lukla.

DAY 06: PHAKDING – NAMCHE BAZAAR (3440 m – 6 hrs approx)

After breakfast Trek following Phakding village and local market; then you will cross an iron bridge over the Dudh Koshi river. After a couple of hours of easy trail following the river, you will arrive Manjo and Jorsali then after you will enter into Sagarmatha National Park zone.You reach the last high bridge over the Bhote Koshi river. From here the trail ascends steeply until you reach at Namche Bazar.

DAY 07: Acclimatization day in Namche Bazar

As you are already above 3000 meters, it’s recommended to spend 2 nights in Namche Bazar to avoid any risk of high altitude sickness with a side trip to Khumjung village or Thame. After breakfast, Day hiking to Syangboche, Khungde
(3840 M) & even further to Khumjung (3780 M) or Thame as optional. This day you can see the views of Himalayan ranges including Amadablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru, Lhotse & Mount Everest.

DAY 08: NAMCHE BAZAAR – TENGBOCHE (3870 M – 6 hrs approx)

This day you will follow the well defined curving trail overlooking the mountain views. During the trek you will reach at Khyangjumpa (3550 M), After crossing the river; the trail ascent following the delightful pine, rhododendron & forest. Then you will reach Tengboche, situated on the hillside. This place offers excellent view of Mount Amadablam & glimpse of Mount Everest.

DAY 09: TENGBOCHE - DINGBOCHE (4360 M – 6 hrs approx)

After breakfast, trek through pine & rhododendron forest then reach at Deboche (3820 M). From the junction you will descend to a bridge by crossing the Imja river and ascend again to reach Dingboche. 

Overnight at lodge.


DAY 10: DINGBOCHE – LABUCHE (4940 M – 6 hrs approx)

Trek to Labuche. During the trip you will see the impressive view of Himalayas.

Overnight at lodge.


DAY 11: LABUCHE – GORAK SHEP (5170 m), - EVEREST BASE CAMP (5364 M – 7 hrs approx)

Early morning trek Ghorakshep, then continue trek to Everest Base & return to Ghorakshep.

Overnight at lodge.


DAY 12: GORAK SHEP – KALA PATTHAR (5545 M) – PHERICE (4288 M – 8 hrs approx)

Kalapathar is the best vantage point to observe the Mount Everest in closer range. Trek start early

morning to get the top of Kalapathar; then return to Ghorakshep. After breakfast, you will trek down to

Pheriche. Overnight at lodge.


DAY 13: PHERICE - NAMCHE BAZAAR (3,440 M – 7 hrs approx)

Trek back to Namche Bazar via Pangboche and Tengboche. Overnight at lodge.


DAY 14: NAMCHE BAZAAR – LUKLA (2800 M – 7 hrs approx)

Trek back to Lukla via Jorsale, Manjo and Phakding villages. Overnight at lodge.


DAY 15: LUKLA - RAMECHHAP - KATHMANDU

After early morning breakfast & fly back to Ramechap then drive to Kathmandu. Overnight.


DAY 16: KATHMANDU

Free Day for your own activates. Evening farewell Nepalese dinner with culture dance. Overnight.


DAY 17: KATHMANDU

On time departure (Check-out time at 12:00) transfer to the airport for your onward destination.

  • Summer is monsoon season, it rains a lot everywhere so we don’t recommend during this time.
  • Winter the weather gets very cold but we can do trekking during this time also with warm clothes.
