You'll continue to travel to the beaches by driving to Kanyakumari and Kovalam. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime houseboat vacation on Kerala's backwaters. Wayanad in northern Kerala has stunning vegetation and fauna. Visit the magnificent Mysore Palace in Mysore, one of India's best palaces. Finish your trip in Bangalore by taking a day tour to explore the bustling metropolis.


Detailed Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrive Chennai 

Arrive at Chennai international airport and meet our company representative at the arrival hall. We will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. 

Chennai, on the Bay of Bengal in eastern India, is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The city is home to Fort St. George, built in 1644 and now a museum showcasing the city’s roots as a British military garrison and East India Company trading outpost, when it was called Madras.

Day 02 : Chennai Tour and drive to Mahabalipuram (1 hour drive/60 kilometers)

Today morning we will do city tour of Chennai visiting Fort St. George Museum,  Kapaleeshwarar Temple, adorned with carved and painted gods, and St. Mary’s, a 17th-century Anglican Church. In the evening stroll around the Marina Beach.

Day 03 : Chennai – Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (3 hour drive/ 150 kilometers)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Mahabalipuram. Visit the Shore Temple, one of the oldest temples. Unique about this temple is the fact that it houses shrines for both Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Also visit The Five Rathas. There are five monolithic temples, each created in a different style. Further continue to Pondicherry. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and later you have day free for own activities.

Day 04 Pondicherry to Tanjour (4 hour drive/185 kilometers)

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Pondicherry (or Puducherry), a French colonial settlement in India until 1954, is now a Union Territory. Its French legacy is preserved in its French Quarter, with tree-lined streets, mustard-colored colonial villas and chic boutiques. Visit to Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Devasthanam. Evening is free to explore the town. In the afternoon drive to Tanjore/Thanjavur. Thanjavur, formerly Tanjore. Thanjavur is an important center of South Indian religion, art, and architecture.

Day 05 : Tanjour to Madurai via Trichy (5 hour drive/200 kilometers)

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Tanjour. Tanjore is known as the Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu. Visit Brihadeeswara or the Big Temple of God, an example of the magnificent achievements of the Cholas in the field of temple architecture. Also visit The Palace near the temple. It is a vast building of masonry built partly by the Nayaks around 1550 AD and partly by the Marathas. Also visit Saraswathi Mahal, a library which has over 30,000 palm leaf and paper manuscripts in Indian and European languages.

Later check-out from the hotel and drive to Madurai. En-route visit Trichy. Trichy is famous for Rock Fort Temple. The Rock Fort situated on the banks of the Kaveri river, Trichy's most famed land mark is an 84 m high rock, one of the oldest in the world aprox.3,800 million years.

Further continue to Madurai. Madurai. Madurai is an energetic, ancient city on the Vaigai River.  Upon arrival in Madurai, check-in at the hotel.

Day 06 : Madurai to Kanyakumari (5 hour drive/250 kilometers)

After breakfast, visit to Meenakshi Amman Temple. Covered in bright carvings of Hindu gods, the Dravidian-style temple is a major pilgrimage site. 

Later in the afternoon drive to Kanyakumari; an important pilgrim center of south India. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel. In the evening, enjoy the beautiful sunset over the Arabian Sea.

Day 07 : Kanyakumari to Kovalam (2 hour drive/90 kilometers)

After breakfast, visit to Amman Temples; virgin Goddess, Kanya Kumari. Also visit to the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a blend of all the architectural styles of India.Later in the afternoon, check-out from the hotel and drive to Kovalam. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches. The southernmost, known as the -Light House beach- is the most popular.  On arrival check in at beach side hotel and rest of the time enjoy the beach and relax.

Day 08 : Kovalam – Day at beach 

After breakfast, you have a day free in Kovalam to enjoy the beach. You may take a quick tour of Trivandrum town to see Padmanabha Swamy Temple. This temple is located inside the East Fort. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Temple is a blend of the Kerala and Dravidian styles of architecture.

Day 09 : Kovalam to Alleppey (4 hour drive/160 kilometers)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive down to Alleppey. Alleppey; caressed by the Arabian Sea in the west and a vast network of Lakes, Lagoons and freshwater rivers criss-crossing the backwater county. On arrival check-in to the Houseboat cruise.  Houseboats are luxury boat made in ethnic Kerala style having well-appointed sitting room, bedrooms, toilet and kitchen. In the evening enjoy the tranquil beauty of the inland waters and the countryside for one day.

Day 10 : Alleppey to Cochin (1 hour drive/60 kilometers)

After breakfast disembark the houseboat at Alleppey and drive to Cochin or Kochi has been a port since 1341, when a flood carved out its harbor and opened it to Arab, Chinese and European merchants. After check-in, proceed for a half day tour of Cochin visiting the Fort Kochi Area. A leisurely walk is the best way to discover the historic Fort Kochi. An obscure fishing village that became the first European township in India. Visit various churches and other historical buildings in Fort Kochi.

Day 11 : Cochin to Wayanad (7 hour drive/250 kilometers)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Wayanad. Wayanad is known for its Wildlife Sanctuary, Lush forested region and home to animals including Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards and egrets. Upon arrival in Wayanad,
check-in to the hotel and relax yourself in the beautiful climate of mountains.

Day 12 : Wayanad Tour 

After breakfast, you have a day to spend in Wayanad. You can visit to the Tea Garden and Tea Factory. Also visit the Soochipara Waterfalls and the Edakkal Caves.

Day 13 : Wayanad to Mysore (4 hour drive/165 kilometers)

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Mysore. Mysore was the capital of the Wodeyar dynasty, Mysore is also considered the cultural capital of the Karnataka state.  Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. You can enjoy the Sound & Light Show in the evening at Mysore Palace (A 45 minute sound and light show, depicting the 400 year history of Mysuru, English Show: Thursday to Saturday - Time 7.00 PM to 8.00 PM

Day 14 : Mysore to Bangalore (4 hour drive/145 kilometers)

After breakfast, proceed for a guided tour in Mysore visiting Mysore Palace; intricately carved rosewood doors and ceilings some with inlaid ivory work, marble figurines, collections of caskets, paintings of the members of the royal family and other objects of personal use exhibit such opulence, though age as worn them out a bit with slight discolouration. Later visit to the Brindavan Gardens and Musical Fountain at the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam.  In the afternoon check-out from the hotel and drive to Bangalore. The most alive city of South India, Bangalore is also known as Bengaluru. It is the Capital of the Karnataka State and India’s 3rd largest city. For many years, Bangalore was known throughout India as the greenest, liberal and forward-thinking city. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.

Day 15 : Bangalore Tour 

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bangalore city visiting Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, Lalbagh Botanical Gardens, Bangalore Palace and ISKCON Temple. 

Evening is free at leisure for own activities and last minute shopping.

Day 16 : Departure

After breakfast we will transfer you to Bangalore airport to board the flight to onward journey.
